I made my first windmill on the weekend and its going great! All I need to do now is to paint the end of the blades and fix it properly to my roof. I am actually going to make a few of these so I can eliminate my power bill completely!

I’ve researched a lot of windmill plans and Earth4Energy offers very comprehensive, yet doable plans. I highly recommend them. You also get Solar Panel blueprints and a ton of bonuses just for signing up.

If you set your expectations realistic, Earth4Energy DOES work. If you expect unrealistic results, you will be dissapointed. For $100, you will not be able to build the equipment to power your whole house, but for $100 or $200 investment, you will easily be able to power your kitchen appliances, or a few TV’s, etc.

I haven’t tried building one of these systems, so I’m not exactly sure what the major hurdles might be. Bringing in an electrician to handle the wiring would probably be a good idea if you’re not comfortable with it. I know that’s the way I would do it.

I would really encourage you to at least give it a shot. These manuals have a moneyback guarantee, so you’re not risking anything by taking a look.

I think you have realistic expectations when you say you want to reduce your electric bill. A $200 system is not going to eliminate your electricity bill, but it will get you moving in the right direction at a fraction of the cost to purchase something and have it installed.

I haven’t tackled one of the projects yet, but I have seen the Earth4Energy Guide and it looks promising. I don’t know if you’re going to be able to eliminate your electricity bill, but I think with a combination of wind power and solar power, you could definitely put a dent in it.

There are a number of other alternatives to Earth4Energy popping up as well that can help you get started. One of them is called the Make Natural Power Manual. I guess I can’t really give you a recommendation though, because I haven’t tried to follow the instructions.
